On the 11th of January 2019, the first Transnational Meeting of the project “Kitchen of Skills” took place in Hotel “Oriza” in the city of Gdów. Kitchen of Skills is the outcome of CUHEKO Project: “Through Culinary Heritage to Key Competences. The CUHEKO project is an international Strategic Partnership Program, co-financed by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Program . The meeting lasted for two days and finished on the 12th of January. Present on these days were representatives of Stowarzyszenie LGD Dolina Rady, KIKO Educational Solutions Ltd, Development Agency Kozjansko from Slovenia, Charakis Research & Consulting Ltd from Cyprus, and Leader Suupohja from Finland. During the meeting, several things were discussed including all the fundamentals regarding the project.
The meeting kicked off with all partners presenting their activities, experiences, and background. There was a two-day in-depth discussion regarding the main activities and the expected results of the project and the steps forward.
It is worth mentioning that the meeting on the second day, took place at the Museum of Cookbooks & Culinary Books. The partners were given an interesting presentation of the museum’s rich history by the international coordinator of the project, Krzysztof Kwatera from Stowarzyszenie LAG Dolina Raby. Moreover, the partners had the chance to see the museum’s rare findings as well as to learn the local and European history, in relation to culinary matters. Finally, during lunch, they had the chance to taste traditional dishes from the Polish cuisine, prepared at the museum’s kitchen.
